U.S. Development launched sales of a condo in Pompano Beach that would rise only a block west of the ocean.
Located at 305 Briny Ave., the Salato would feature 40 units in nine stories. Philadelphia-based U.S. Development, formerly known as U.S. Construction, purchased the 1.33-acre site for $9.7 million in May 2022. It currently has a small apartment building, which will be demolished to make way for the condo.
Units in the Salato would range from 2,106 to 3,354 square feet of interior space, plus 14-foot-deep terraces that range from 320 to 746 square feet. Prices start at just under $2 million.
“Salato was designed to create the ultimate intimate living experience, but with all the amenities you would find at much larger condo projects,” U.S. Development CEO John Farina stated. “Our goal was to maximize privacy while still providing a resort-style experience.”
The Salato would feature a 20,000-square-foot amenity deck with a pool, spa and bar. Indoor amenities would include private wine lockers, a dry sauna, steam showers, a massage room, a fitness center, a lounge with a juice bar and an event room with a catering kitchen. The building would feature full-time beach and pool attendants.
U.S. Development plans to break ground on the Salato in June 2023.
Delray Beach-based Randall Stofft Architects designed the project. Thomas Liepman of IMI Living is leading sales for the developer.
There’s been a condo development boom in Pompano Beach in recent years. With a scarcity of available land on the coast in Miami-Dade County, more condo buyers are looking further north and they find that condos in coastal Pompano Beach are significantly less expensive than in Miami-Dade.
